The WordWright Challenge is aimed at high school students who are developing their close reading skills using complex texts, including but not limited to students that are a part of the AP English vertical team.
My Project:
The WordWright Challenge is a classroom activity that promotes close reading, analytical thinking, and academic competition. Four times a year, students are given a literary text, followed by a set of questions about the text. Students compete against one another and as a team against other high schools across the country, answering difficult questions about complex use of language and literature to sharpen their skills of close reading.
