My Students:
My Center Based Resource Students at Olathe North High School have a variety of disabilities ranging from Autism to Intellectual disabilities. In our classroom we work on real life situations that will prepare them for the future. We work on functional tasks such as office manager tasks to daily living skills (things we might take for granted).
My Project:
My goal is to accomplish a real life situation where my students go for their job. They will clock in and out daily for their job and complete an assortment of tasks. These tasks would include sharpening pencils for teachers at Olathe North, 3 hole punching papers, shredding old papers, etc. We would like to have a simple coffee shop for the students to practice taking inventory of supplies and delivering coffee to teachers that place an order.
My Students Need:
My students need practice for their future job and Job Olympics for the state.
