OPSF Surpasses $10,000 Goal on GivingTuesday to Feed Students in Need!

Because of YOU we raised $30,585 to feed our most vulnerable Olathe students for the rest of the school year!

Each school year, the OPSF devotes $30,000+ to the Food Services – Families in Need Fund to provide meals for students across 50 school buildings and to help pay off lunch debt for Olathe’s most vulnerable. We set a GivingTuesday goal of raising $10,000 to rebuild the fund and meet the need through the middle of this school year with plans to continue fundraising. We knew we had a generous community who would rally around our efforts. But words cannot convey how proud and overwhelmed we are by the support received yesterday.

Your gifts, totaling $30,585, more than triple our goal, have provided us the resources needed to feed food insecure students for the rest of this school year and assist with lunch debt through May. Additionally, your support will be instrumental as we prepare to meet the need for next school year.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and staff at the OPSF, we THANK YOU, our loyal friends, district partners, volunteers, and colleagues, for Feeding it Forward!!!

No matter your reason for making a gift yesterday, we want you to know how much we appreciate you. Your gifts empower us to work diligently to make a positive impact on all Olathe students so they can be in school, ready to learn. While GivingTuesday is over, student need continues. We hope this day of global giving didn’t just inspire you to drive progress for one day, but throughout the year.

With grateful hearts for your generous acts of kindness,

Cindy, Maureen, Alice, Jodi & Katie
