OPSF Spring Surprise Squad Delivered $55,987!

We brought some sunshine on a rainy day and throughout the week by awarding 25 grants totaling $55,987 to 19 schools in Olathe. Teachers were awarded funding to replenish supplies, implement innovative ideas, kickstart new programs, and just make students' and teachers' lives easier, more enriching, and just more fun! It was a fun week of popping in to all of the different schools across the district to surprise teachers with a BIG check and let them know their grant was funded.

We are so thankful for Olathe Health / University of Kansas Health Systems for their ongoing support throughout the year and for funding a Sensory Room at Green Springs to give students a place to chill and reset when life just gets hard.

The Kohler Family chose to fund some pickleball sets that will travel between our Title 1 schools and expose them to a new sport and a journey of lifelong fittness. We appreciate these partners that come along side us to provide opportunites to every student in our district.

So many excited and grateful educators were surprised with funding for their projects, demonstrating that asking for support can lead to incredible opportunities. The OPSF is here to help educators, administrators and staff, "Meet the Need.”
