It was a very muggy and humid evening with a few occasional sprinkles at KC Wine Co. but that did not stop the celebration! The Olathe Public Schools Foundation, along with OPS Learning Services put together an event to welcome our newest educators to the Olathe School District. These new educators were greeted by the Learning Services team, OPSF Board members and even the Superintendent, Dr. Brent Yeager. As they traveled from one table to the next filling their passports, they were given lots of free goodies and even teacher supplies and ended by placing it in the barrel to possibly be drawn out for the grand vacation prize and many others donated by Bank of Blue Valley, Olathe Parks and Rec, Mainstreet Credit Union, HyVee, State Farm Insurance: Harlan & Jason Parker, Robert Brogden Buick GMC, Robert Brogden’s Olathe KIA, Olathe Health/University of Kansas Health System, and Hendrick’s Home Team.
We also wanted to fill their bellies with some yummy local food trucks. Thanks to BAAM, Bryce’s, Papa Scott’s and The Spice Bandit, that task was accomplished along with a couple of drinks from KC Wine Co.
There were lots of smiles, laughter and fun prizes as we welcomed them in and kicked off what we hope to be a fantastic year!! Welcome. We are excited you are here. Right Where You Belong!
