Together with community partners, the Olathe Public Schools Foundation helped welcome almost 300 new educators to Olathe with a Taste of Olathe reception at the KC Wine Co. New educators enjoyed a sampling of food from many Olathe restaurants, were welcomed by community leaders, and met other new educators. Local businesses gave away over $7,000 in prizes including $1,000 in groceries, $1,000 in gas, a $1,000 vacation package, a family membership to the Olathe Community Center and $1,000 in CASH!
Olathe loves teachers and we are so happy these people have chosen to educate our children in Olathe.
Community partners included: Olathe Chamber of Commerce, First National Bank, Mainstreet Credit Union, Olathe Health, Olathe Parks and Recreation, State Farm Insurance (Harlan C. Parker and Jason Parker), Olathe Junior Service League, Nabholz Construction, The Junque Drawer, Johnny's Italian Steakhouse at the Hilton Garden Inn, the J Bar at the Embassy Suites Olathe, Zaxby's, Olive Garden, Hy-Vee and The Rub Bar-B-Que.
