School Supplies and Backpacks
In August 2017, volunteers organized, packed and delivered more than 1,800 backpacks to schools across the district. Donations came from more than 30 community drives, the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund and Farmers Insurance.
Donations for this summer can be dropped off at the Foundation's new location at 300 E. Loula in downtown Olathe. The OPSF receives school supply requests from teachers and principals throughout the school year, your support means a lot to Olathe kids! Donate a Musical Instrument
The Olathe School District is seeking donations of used band and orchestra instruments for students unable to rent or purchase a musical instrument of their own. Especially needed are clarinets, flutes, trombones, trumpets, violas and violins. Donated instruments can be repaired, if necessary. National and local statistics reveal that participation in music programs keeps children connected to school and correlates directly with high graduation rates.
