My Students:
Imagine a classroom where students are able to sit, stand, wiggle, wobble all while learning and actively participating. I have been teaching Kindergarten in an ELL and Title building for the last 5 years. My students love learning but are constantly on the move.
My Project:
All of my students are individuals in their personalities and learning styles. It is my job as a teacher to meet them where they are at. Over the years I have noticed the students creating their own comfortable learning space outside of the traditional desk and chair. I envision them having a plethora of choices and more freedom to move about the room i.e. (stability balls, wobble stools, floor cushions, yoga mats).
My Students Need:
My students would benefit greatly from having multiple options and styles of seating for them to focus and be more engaged!
