My Students:
Students in this class arrive from all over the Olathe School District and represent all demographics and socio economic levels. A key component to developing industry skills is to raise the funds to produce the film. We want every student to experience raising money in this authentic experience.
My Project:
Students have been working all semester on a class web series, entitled, “One Too Many”. Each student applied for a position on the crew and is now one of 22 team members on the productions of this short film about a young adult man, Lucas, searching for a way to save his family and mend relationships only to realize sometimes you make choices for the right reasons, sometimes you make choices for the wrong reasons, but either way, there will be consequences to the choices.
My Students Need:
Everything we are do builds awareness of industry and the soft-skills necessary to succeed in their college and career plans. We need the funds to create the experience.
