Save the Date! - Giving Tuesday

Olathe Public Schools Foundation
On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, charities, families, businesses and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving.

The Olathe Public Schools Foundation will participate in a global day of giving, #GivingTuesday, and all proceeds will benefit the Student Health Emergency Fund (SHEF). The SHEF is supervised by district nurses and provides for the district’s most vulnerable students’ immediate medical needs.

Without this fund, many low-income students in Olathe would go without their daily epilepsy medication, be unable to carry Epi-pen’s® for severe allergic reactions, be left without rescue inhalers, and be unable to participate in campus athletics. The demand for support is constant, but the Student Health Emergency Fund is running dangerously low.

And for one day only, your gift will make an even GREATER impact. The impact of your gift to the Student Health Emergency Fund on #GivingTuesday will be increased thanks to a one-day match from an anonymous donor and from past OPSF Board Member, Julia Meyer. Your support, in any amount that is meaningful to you, will impact the lives of youth in Olathe and ease the burden felt by families who struggle to meet a household budget and provide for their child’s medical necessities.

So, set your reminder for  #GivingTuesday  today.  The first $1,500 in gifts will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, thanks to two generous Foundation donors.
